Mr. Profitt, You have asked that I apologize to you. Perhaps this is not the apology that you are looking for, but I do have some things to say.

I have been called a progressive, a liberal, a professional agitator. You have been called a conservative, a Republican, a member of the Tea Party movement. Fundamentally and most importantly, you and I are both human beings. We are also both American citizens. These two facts, to me, are far more meaningful than the multitude of labels that we carry. And if these two facts are true then it means we are on the same team.

I have not been for one moment angry with you and your actions. Instead I feel thoroughly devastated. It is evident that your physical assault on me is symptomatic of the crisis that this country is struggling through. And it seems that I will heal from my injuries long before this country can work through our separation. Only when we decide let go of our hate, our violence and our aggression will we be able to communicate to each other about the issues that divide us. Right now, we are not communicating, we are stomping on each other. No one can ever win, no one can ever be heard, with violence.

You and I, as fellow citizens, and we, as a country, have a choice. Either we choose to continue the cycle of inflicting violence upon each other, screaming at each other, insulting each other and putting one another down or we and find a way to sit down and start listening to each other. We’ll see how far we get. We are all viciously and vociferously feeding a fire that will only burn us down together. We must reach inside ourselves and make space for each other. We must forgive each other. We must believe in our capacity for transformation. The moment we choose compassion and reconciliation is the moment that we will begin to move toward freedom. There is no other way.

I believe that you should be held accountable for your actions but I also recognize the incredibly negative impact that the consequences must be having on your life, and I wish you all the best as you yourself heal from this. Violence hurts everyone.

I have known for a while that right wing violence would increase just by the extremist rhetoric, claiming that left wing violence was sure to come by political blow hards such as Glenn Beck. Extremist always justify their extremism by claiming their opponents are worse. Right Wing Violence has been at all time high with progressive bloggers and activist being attacked at various conservative  meetings. I thought these were the liberty, free speech people?  Weren’t these the people who flooded into town hall meetings chanting, yelling and doing anything to disrupt the meetings? Now they receive some opposition and this is how they respond?

What does Tim Profitt want Lauren Valle to apology for? Having her head in the way of his stomping motion?

At first I was got a little, how shall we say?  ”Uppity” at CNN when I read the title, CNN names Michele Bachman Wingnut of the Year.  I was going to slam them for continuing the right and left dog and pony show that makes one want to move to Antarctica, I hear it is nice this time of year.  Honestly, I don’t even know if you can accuse CNN of being partisan they just seem stupid at times, last time I wasted time watching CNN they were going on Twitter to see what @soccermom43 thought about Sonia Sotomayor nomination to the supreme court nomination.  Like I care!  But It was actually John Avalon from thedailybeast.com, and I think he did a pretty even handed job nailing both sides on their biggest offenders.

Typically I don’t spend much time looking at blowhards in the media.  One of things that drives me nuts about Democrats is how they watch Fox news commentators and manufacture outrage at every wingnutty thing they say.  Why waste your time?  At least Conservatives just claim everyone else is bias and they don’t waste their time and energy being outraged at everything guys like Keith Olbermann and Ed Schultz say.

5.  Ed Schultz

This guy is pretty wacky!  Republican want to see people dead?  They want to make money off your dead corpse?  Really?  like send us to the glue factory?  Did they run out of horses?  I agree 100% with this selection definitely a Liberal WINGNUT!

4. Sarah Palin

Sarah “I Quit” Palin is wingnut gold!  She would probably rank higher if she didn’t quit her position as Alaska Governor.  Of course she was doing it for the good of Alaska!  Wherever this crazy goes scandal follows.  She used the state of Alaska to line her pockets then quit once the chickens came to roost.  She then did what ever teenage girl does talk about everyone she doesn’t like on facebook!  Write a book full of excuses why everything is never her fault.  This woman has the thinnest skin, why she thinks she is cut out for politics I will never know.  I really hope she tries to make a run for the White House in 2012.  That is going to be entertainment gold.

3. Glenn Beck

I have said this 100 times.  Beck is cashing in on the Obama fever.  This guy made 23 million last year!  He has a radio show, Tv Show, Books galore, some creepy musical, the 9/12 rallies.  The crazier he gets the more people eat it up!  I think he goes the way of Rush Limbaugh.  He is just the Rush Limbaugh of the Obama Admin, why do you think Rush was trying so hard to get noticed?  Beck has been stealing the crazy show.  Beck has had about 70+ advertisers leave him because of his President Obama is a racist comment.  His sponsors are Gold companies running mini-infomercials but did it hurt Beck?  Nope.  It hurt Fox who is reportedly losing $500,000 a week.  Why isn’t Fox making the smart business decision?  I think they are hoping the heat dies down on Beck.  I hope it does, I am really tired of listening to whiny liberals become outraged at everything this Wingnuts says!  If you want him to go away, IGNORE HIM.

2. Alan Grayson

At first I thought Alan Grayson is fighting back against all the craziness from the right.  It turned out the Grayson was pretty much an attention whore.  I wasn’t all that shocked at the Republican want you to die quick comment, I thought it was a tit for tat type of approach.  But then there was something about vampire teeth and calling a woman a whore or something.  I didn’t really follow it completely.  I just thought this guy, lost me!  I never knew about the letter to holder calling for prosecution of one of his critics, he does realize that people in public office are almost impervious to libel right?[*]  I agree WINGNUT for sure!

1. Michelle Bachman

Bachman is straight looney tunes!  She is like one big walking conspiracy theory.  She has theories against the Census, Acorn, Obama being a tyrant, there was the Super Bowl of Freedom.  I can’t even keep track of this lady!  She actually beat Palin in nuttiness.  Thanks Minnesota.

Keith Olbermann

My biggest beef with Olbermann is his Worst and Worster segment.  I find it childish and rude.  I think when Olbermann is on his meds he does a descent job of supporting his claims.

Rush Limbaugh

Rush tries to make headlines with his outrageously racist comments but he is just so 1998.  I am shocked he isn’t still talking about Monica Lewinsky.

How Much More Is America Going To Take?

ISMS, ISMS Everywhere!

There have been a lot of big scary words  thrown around the last few months everything from SOCIALISM!, COMMUNISM!, MARXIST!, FASCISM!  YIKES!  Those are some scary “ISMS”!  The Reality is most Americans couldn’t explain the difference  between these “ISMS” if their life depended on it, which I guess explains why these fringe groups accuse our president of being them all, even though they are contradictory philosophies!  But that doesn’t matter because we know one thing… WE HATE ALL THOS “ISMS” and love CapitalISM and free marketISM!  So Turn off the brains and SHOUT!  Oh and paint big red letters on poster boards!

Shhhhh!  Don’t tell these people, all americans are all secret socialists!  With Our Police Departments, Fire Departments, Public Highways & Roads, Postal Service, City Governments, Public Education, Public Libraries, Parks, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, HUD, Unemployment Insurance, Education Grants, Business Grants, Minimum Wage, Graduated Income Tax, Disability, Public Utilities, Science Grants, Labor Unions.  I could keep going, but in America Socialism seems like something people aspire too!  When you reach 65 years of old, you are eligible for Social Security and Medicare!  So I guess, Socialism is a reward for surviving till 65 years in the United States.

You can’t throw a rock without hitting a Republican that would love to make the claim that  America is the BEST country on the planet!  YET not be able to explain WHY they believe AMERICA is the best, besides WE SAY SO?  They have been fed and dare I say INDOCTRINATED to believe that everything America does is always right and justified!  We are always the good guys!  DAMN! Anyone that would criticize this great nation and find ways that America could possibly be better is Nation.  This got me thinking what really makes a country great?  Is it the Wars they Fight?  The Type of Government they have?  How they Treat their enemies?  The Freedoms they provide?  The Countries they Help?  The Opportunities they provide?  Is it the legacy they will be remembered for?

What about the Quality of Life they Provide?

So does America have the best Health Care?[*]  Well most Americans know the answer to that question, we are somewhere around 37 in the world and dropping.  But what is with the claim by the conservatives like Glenn Beck that say leaders from other country come here for medical care?  Well he is right, 30 of the top 50 best hospitals in the world are in the U.S, to go even futher the top 6 in the world are all in the U.S.![*]  So we have the best hospital facilities, doctors, nurses in the world, yet we allow 120 people die every day from not having proper health care?  How does that make us the best?  Does any middle class family benefit from knowing that the rich and elite in our country have the advantage of getting taken care of by the best hospitals in the world, while most of us go to small Kaiser Clinic where we need to fight for any specialist care?  NO!

Ok so America doesn’t have the best Health Care, we have some awesome hospitals only most of America have no access to them.  But what about our quality of life, obviously we have capitalism and our quality of life is better then everyone else RIGHT?  Actually NO, We are 13th overall in quality of life, Norway has the best quality of life in the world.[*]  I guess, I am just confused about what gives us the right to make the claim, We are the best country in the world?  We are like the school yard bully that will beat you up if you don’t say we are the BEST!  I think it is just arrogant propaganda without any substance!  I saw and example of this last week after I attended an amazing Pearl Jam concert at the Gibson Amphitheater here in Los Angeles.  I was waiting for the crowd to disperse when I heard a couple start talking to the two guys who sat in front of me.  They asked them where they were from and one of the guys said, Canada.  The Woman replies by saying “I am Sorry!”  My jaw hit the floor!, I couldn’t help but, pipe up!  I said, “Are you kidding me?  Canada has the 4th best quality of life in the world, America should be more like Canada”.  I apologized to the guys for the arrogant American!

Ok so America doesn’t have the best Quality of Life or Health Care, but surely we great because of Democracy right?  Maybe Not..

Welcome To The Plutonomy Machine

What is a Plutonomy?  Well Let’s let Citigroup explain it.

At some point it is likely that labor will fight back against the rising profit share of the rich and there will be a political backlash against the rising wealth of the rich. I have attached a letter put out by Citigroup, which was featured in the Michael Moore Documentary Capitalism: A Love Story.  These “leaked” letters were only sent to the Citigroup “elite”, and boast that America has turned from a Democracy into a Plutonomy.  What is a Plutonomy?  It is a return the Guilded Age where the Robber Barrons ruled the country.  Where the Rich Get Richer and the Poor get Poorer. These letters basically lay out how a society could be stupid enough to allow this type of system to continue and exam other failed Plutonomies and how they can continue to preserve this system in America!

Perhaps one reason that societies allow plutonomy, is because enough of the electorate believe they have a chance of becoming a Plutonomy participant.  Why kill it off, if you can join it? In a sense this is the embodiment of the “American dream”. But if voters feel they cannot participate, they are more likely to divide up the wealth pie, rather than aspire to being truly rich.

Ahhh so I get it, for one group of middle class mules you hold out the  “AMERICAN DREAM” carrot to keep the plutonomy cart moving and for the the other more religious middle class mules you hold out the “FAMILY VALUES” carrot!  It all suddenly becomes crystal clear!  American will put up with just about any abuse and even vote against their own interested, if you stuff them full of Hope that the hated abortions will be outlawed and Gays will never be able to marry, and for the other poor saps, make them think they have shot of being one of the Plutonomy participant!

Now for me, France sticks out the most in that group, because they have had several revolutions since we established our country.  These are the people America made fun of because they didn’t want to run into the quagmire that is the Iraq War.  Why was the French Government so afraid?  Because in France, the Government serves the people instead of the people serving their Government and it Plutonomy ruling class.  No massive bail outs for French Corporations, because their people would burn down their Parliament building!  In America, keeping the people afraid and getting them to believe you are the only one that can protect them is a lucrative political strategy!  I am beginning to think we need to change our national anthem from, “the home of brave”, to “the home of paranoid”.  Which doesn’t quite have the same ring, but rings much more true to reality.  So until America, quits wasting their votes on hot button topics which will never go away and demands that their government regardless of the political party quit selling them out the the Plutonomy Machine that is Wall Street and Big Biz, WE DESERVE THE GOVERNMENT WE GET!
