Most sensible honest people regardless of their political ideology condemn Lynn Vakay’s action and express disappointment for her lack of repentance or admission of any kind of guilt.  Bob Haueter, the chairman of the 38th Central Committee and Los Angeles Region Chair for the Meg Whitman Governor campaign, publicly labeled me a democrat and made accusations of sexism because apparently woman are immune from any kind  of questions about their integrity.  Unless you are strong liberal woman that gets under Conservative’s Skin like  Hilary Rodham Clinton, then it is fine to make her the subject to a shady possibly illegally funded  documentary called “Hillary: The Movie”

“It upsets me that it seems like it’s an attack from the Democrats who have attacked me often in The Signal,” Vakay said.

Bob Hauter, president of the local Republican committee and deputy chief of staff for U.S. Congressman Howard “Buck” McKeon, agreed.

He said he thinks the fact she’s a woman and a teacher – both traditionally Democratic characteristics – has made her a target.

I’ve seen her attacked before. She seems to me to be the one who probably does the best job of getting under the skin of the (political) left in the area,”

Lynn Vakay was a target because of her reckless statements, which is the same verdict for her polar opposite Carole Lutness.  Neither of these two can stay on target or thought for that matter.

“I think it’s much ado over nothing, and just a way to hide the football. The issue here is health care, and thank God she brought it up. I’d rather see the blogs spend the next couple of days debating that.”

The only people hiding the football are Bob Haueter his daughter Kimberly Haueter and Lynn Vakay.

I would never dream of going after a guys family, but Kimberly Haueter, the 22 year old daughter of Bob Haueter and Treasurer of Santa Clarita Young Republicans, has been publicly on the attack.

While Lynn didn’t credit the person, she had the ok. While it was a mistake, she learned. It makes me laugh that most of you sit here and condemn her for what she did, just so you don’t have to face the facts of what she wrote.

You don’t think she has been attacked before? Check youtube for Kathy who ran for the school board. Check articles in the signal by Dem. writers. It is not lie that she has been attacked before.

As for sexiest please explain that one to me. I might be young but I saw nothing remarking sexiest. It is a fact that women and teachers do lean towards the Democrat side and that because she is both and republican that it has come back to bite her.

Do you guys really have anything better then do attack a women who made a mistake?

I have personally talked to her and I know she understands what she did wrong. I know she is kicking herself in the butt right now. It was a mistake. Have you never accidently wrote something and forgot to give that person credit. While Lynn didn’t give credit, she didn’t write it to take credit. She wrote it to get her friends message out there. It wasn’t like she saw his notes and stole them for herself. He gave them to her and said it was ok, she still should have given credit at the end, but it isn’t like she meant to do it for her own gain.

Lynn Vakay is sorry she got caught.

Really blazingmonk? You want to tell me that you have never copies someone’s work. Be careful what you say because it will come back to bite you. You want to attack someone for a mistake then go ahead but be aware that what goes around comes around. Have you talked to her or are you the coward who doesn’t have the balls to face a person, you just like to talk shit. Have you asked her what happened? Did you ask her to explain? Or are you just playing big man because now that she is out of the way more people will listen to you? Because point blank many people think your full of crap.

Really Kimberly I am a coward?  I am afraid to face her?  I don’t exactly have Lynn on speed dial, in fact I have no way of contacting her.  The one email I found bounced.  If Lynn Vakay would like to meet or chat I would be happy too.  Just say that word.

I have read your articles and I can say, that many of them have not been original.

I am really curious to know what Kimberly is imply with this statement?

Ahhhh A Wise Guy

I was all giddy with anticipation this evening waiting to see what playbook Mrs. Vakay & friends would run to spin this scandal their way. The sky is the limit with these 2009 Republicans, so my money was on, “He is an angry Kenyan citizen, show us your birth certificate pal” or “He is secret socialist Muslim sent from the past by Hitler to give us all free medical”, Sadly to my disappointment and boredom they went with, “he said I could plagiarize it” and “he is a sexist Democrat”. Really? Why is it most politicians sound like pathetic 13 year old kids with every excuse in the book why it isn’t their fault? I really think, “No Comment” would have been the best course of action in this situation. Instead they did everything in their power to prove their guilt by making several shots in the dark about my motives, political stance and personal character.

What is most disturbing to me about this article is that Gary Wolfram another teaching professional with a Ph.D in economics is defending what is obvious plagiarism of his own work. How do two teaching professionals not know what constitutes plagiarism? Would this fly if two of their students were giving these same lame excuses why their papers were nearly identical? Absolutely NOT, they would be expelled for academic dishonesty in half-a-second. These two know better. What is it about political parties that make grown adults act like unreasonable, spoiled brats?

I guess it shouldn’t surprise me, that neither Republicans Nor Democrats want to bring up, let alone take responsibility for the real cause of this economic depression we are going through. It pretty much all boils down to a Republican controlled congress with much help from the Democrats passing the Financial Services Modernization Act of 1999. This BIG GOVERNMENT legislation broke what was already fixed and made Subprime lending go through the roof and allowed financial institutions like Citicorp to become “Too Big” to fail. I guess Mr. smarty pants elitist and his PH.D in economics must have missed that day when his beloved Republicans robbed America and the Democrats drove the get away car. This is what happens when people are more in love with their brand of political ideology then working together to make a better America.

In the end I think The Signal and its readers are the real victim. When it comes down to it Mrs. Vakay knowingly deceived and betrayed their trust as a regular columnist. She broke one of the cardinal, career ending rules of journalism! I very encouraged to see The Signal looking for opportunities to improve and do things better to make our small corner of the world better. Thank You

Oh, one clarification I wanted to make is I was a Youth Pastor not a Pastor, slight difference.

Vakay The Ultimate Ditto Head

It wasn’t but a few weeks ago Lynn Vakay, an outspoken evangelical, school teacher and Headquarters Director of Santa Clarita Republican Party, was pointing her righteous finger of judgement at the Obama White house for an address which hadn’t been given yet. She was so upset at our President for his very true statement that America is not just a Christian nation, but a nation of many religions. Say what you will about the President’s thanksgiving address, but at least it wasn’t plagiarized. Which is something that Lynn Vakay can not claim about her latest political rant entitled “We should heed Madison’s advice, not Harry Reid’s”, published in the Dec 18 issue of the Signal. She attempted to pass off an almost word for word lifted copy of Gary Wolfram’s Nov 30th editorial entitled “James Madison vs. Harry Reid” published on humanevents.com.

After spending a few hour to analyze Mrs. Vakay’s knock-off next to Gary Wolfram’s original, I figured she wrote about 4 or 5 sentences of her own drivel to make it serve her purpose.  My favorite part is where she inserts an almost identical story of her Grandmother in the hospital, in place of Mr. Wolfram’s Mother-in-Law in a nursing home story.  I do love her one of her only original thoughts, “How many people go to see their doctor when they really don’t need to just because their “insurance” or Medicare is paying for it? This is a huge problem.”, Hey Vakay, it is called a check up, people do it make sure they don’t get sick and die.

My question is how is Mrs. Vakay in a leadership position if she is unable to put together he own original thoughts? How many other opinion columns has she passed off as her own? I wonder what Mrs. Vakay would do if one of her students turned in blatantly plagiarized work? Would they get a failing grade or perhaps an A. It seems Mrs. Vakay’s character has been exposed. This reminds me of what my mother use to tell me growing up, be sure your sin will find you out.

It appear Mrs. Vakay is also one of the “grass roots” leader for Meg Whitman’s 2010 campaign for Governor of California.  I think they should reconsider that appointment.  Click Here
